YouTube is set to conduct its first ever live music award ceremony on November 3rd in New York, USA. The event will feature performances across the globe in the music industry
Jason Schwartzman, an actor and musician will be the host for the event. Lady Gaga, Eminem, Arcade Fire, along with other YouTube native stars will perform from different cities across the globe. However, the main event will be held in New York
The nominations include six categories:
1. Artist of the year
2. Response of the year
3. YouTube phenomenon
4. YouTube breakthrough
5. Innovation of the year
6. Video of the year
The nominees were selected on the basis of the statistics collected by YouTube between Sept 2012 and august 2013. The winners will be decided on the basis of shares and views on their videos. This means fans will be the deciding factor on who wins the awards

Parents will not welcome this change as kids being able to post and receive public content are now exposed to the vulgarity uncensored content
