Etisalat's Top 5 Geeks have emerged

After six weeks of intense trainings and tasks in the Etisalat Geek Force Contest, top 5 geeks out of the initial 10 geeks have emerged and qualified for one-year paid internship with Etisalat Nigeria. The top5 who are by name- Victor, Muyiwa, Peter, Onyemaechi, and Valentine scaled through the tough tasks that were given to them and excelled above their fellow contestants; congratulations to them.
The contestants were trained by top Etisalat staff in areas such as: product and service deployment, customer care and developing unique marketing propositions. They also had rap artiste and movie stars to ease the tension a little bit, bringing in a mix of work, study and liesure during the training and tasks.
The Geek Force Internship contest was designed by Etisalat to offer its customers, particularly the youth a chance to join the Etisalat workforce as interns for a one-year training on mobile applications development.
The search began with a call for entries via a 2-3 minute Youtube video upload and Tumblr page voting. The top 20 videos selected out of thousands received were further reviewed by a panel of judges with 10 finalists emerging from the competition in August.
The Etisalat Geek Force Internship Contest focused on two core areas of innovation and customer satisfaction and came about as a result of the company’s commitment to not only provide innovative products and services to its customers, but to also provide a platform to help in the development of career opportunities in a creative and exciting way.
